According to the Surreal Gourmet you can cook salmon in the dishwasher. I can't decide if this is better or worse than eating something that someone prepared in their shower.
Maybe the recipe was inspired by Scott Berkun's essay on "Why smart people defend bad ideas". I know done everything mentioned in the article at one time or another but I still can't defend eating salmon cooked in the dishwasher.

Dishwashers are for wusses. Anybody can cook in a dishwasher. Instead, pack the rest of a nice romantic picnic, find an adventuresome lover (like my Jamie), then take the same recipe prepared in the same tin foil, open the car hood, wedge it in there over the exhaust manifold, and head off to the mountains or the beach (those in, say, Oklahoma try to find some place interesting to go), you get there, open the hood, grab the tinfoil bundle, lay out the blanket, eat.
