I rarely use the shuffle feature of my iPod.
I hit the shuffle recently out of curiousity since I kept noticing people posting these little top five lists on their blog. Here is what I got.
- Steady As She Goes - Li'l Cap'n Travis
- Cibavit Eos Ex Adipe Furmenti - Benedictine Monks
- No Time This Time - The Police
- Speaking of Fueled - Michelle Malone
- One Week - Barenaked Ladies
It wasn't unlistenable, I guess ...
... but it wasn't nearly as good as my favorite playlist, "Not Recent, but Good". That playlist gives me songs rated as 4 or 5 which haven't been played in the last 30 days. That playlist rocks everytime.

Playlist?
A playlist is a set of songs that are played in a certain order. They are especially useful when dealing with music as a song rather than as an album. If you listen to MP3's on your computer you probably have come across this feature.
An iPod or iTunes (the apple music playing software) allows one to have both static and dynamic playlists. A static playlist is a list of songs that you play in a certain order that you create manually. A dynamic playlist allows you to select things like "play all holiday songs in random order." It also allows one to create playlists like "play songs not played in the last week, that are genre Electronic."
