I took Elise cross country skiing for the first time the Saturday after our recent snowstorm. She did really well. It brought back memories of my first skiing expedition in fifth or sixth grade with my friend Jennie. Elise had the same problem I had when I was 9 which was slipping backwards on the hills.
The trails were perfect and the sky was a very deep blue -- I wish we had deep snow and clear days more often during the winter.
