Matthew and I have started Cub Scouts this fall. It's brought back some great childhood memories for me. It's been a lot of fun to plug Matthew into scouting. We got to shoot off rockets this last Saturday, which was a ton of fun. I forgot how much I love fire.
I took a three week hiatus from ice skating, but I got back to it this last Thursday. I got early warning that I might be going to NYC in December -- the idea that I could be skating in front of Rockefeller Center is very appealing to me. I haven't made much progress on skating backwards but I'm getting pretty confident going forward. I'm still afraid that I'm going to take out a small child when they dart out in front of me. ... more updates to follow ...
