obstination
Why is it the simplest things become a full blown circus of obstinacy and impishness. All I wanted was to get hands washed after going to the park. I didn’t want to do anything that hasn’t been done a hundred times before. Why was it so hard today?
I used to cheer myself by saying that anything worth doing was hard to do. Now I am thinking of changing that phrase to “anything worth doing will be pointlessly difficult, will need to be done over and over again badly until random events cause one to be freed from their Sisyphus like struggle with the impossible.”
